Artist Statement
Rooted in sustainability, with a deep respect for nature and traditional craft, my work invites people to slow down, [re]connect with the natural world and rediscover the joy of creativity through the magic of analogue processes.  It's a balm for the senses - intentional design philosophies shaped by patience, ritual and a reverence for natural materials, timeless techniques with contemporary chemistry that is kind to our planet.
Walk slowly, tread lightly.
As a Graphic Artist working in film photography and mixed media, my work explores the deep and often unspoken relationship between humans and the natural world.  At the heart of my practice is a desire to translate nature into a kind of living abstraction - one that speaks through form, texture and rhythm rather than realism.  I’m drawn to a poetic, painterly style and quiet with a clear homage to life, impermanence and belonging.
Bringing Nature Home
I am particularly interested in how we bring fragments of nature into our domestic spaces - floral arrangements, botanical prints, the rituals of gardening and making food that adorns our table... visual meditations that honour the presence of nature in our everyday lives.   By abstracting natural elements through analogue processes, I uncover their deep emotional connection - not just how they look, but how they feel.  My work invites the viewer to consider nature not as a distant landscape, but as something intimate and alive - something we carry with us, shape into memory and use to adorn our inner and outer worlds.
